Sunday morning before your holiday cookout paddle! Leisurely paddle from Lookout Point to wherever we decide based on conditions. We could cross the bay to Birch Island or hug the near coast up to Mitchell Field and beyond. We’ll decide once we get there. Forecast for light winds, 9-11 mph out of the SE, 55 degrees and partly sunny. Small chance of a passing shower. Water temp is still right around 50 so dress for emersion, low tide at 12:33 pm.
- Trip Level: Beginner (Level 1) and above
- Bring a sea-worthy kayak with attachable spray deck, kayak must float when swamped.
- Must wear PFD and recommend immersion clothing appropriate for the water temps.
- Suggest an on water snack and hydration
- Be ready to paddle at 9:00 am, after short shore discussion covering float plan and safety considerations.
This event good for all level of sea kayakers and a nice gentle way to scrape off the rust of winter!
