A 12 mile paddle with open ocean conditions, you must have an ocean kayak with double bulkheads, spray skirt and rescue skills. Water temps are about 60°F, some protection would probably be a good idea although hydroskin would do depending on conditions at the time. There is very limited parking just up the street from the launch which is a small concrete ramp on a pebble beach, there is also some limited parking along Shore Road overlooking the Ocean Point Beach launch.
Meet at 9am, BIB at 10am.
We’ll paddle S past Green Island to Ram/Fisherman Island and along the E side of Damariscove Island depending on wind conditions. Continue to the S tip and into the cove and land at the end of it where there is a small unmanned Museum (not open as far as I know) for a lunch break on a small beach. There are some trails leading to great views on the island. The S tip of Damariscove can be kind of rough,especially at the ledge known as “The Motions”. There can be large swells in the area as well.

High tide is about 6:30am in East Boothbay, Low tide is 12:30pm.
